Another case where repair often makes sense is when you’ve invested in a quality piece, and it just needs a specific repair or needs to be refinished.

Inexpensive, mass-produced furniture pieces aren’t often worth repairing. While it can feel wasteful to just dispose of a piece rather than repairing it, the cost for the repair can sometimes be more than the piece is worth.
