What is the Process of Working with a Furniture Designer from Smith Farms?
In some instances, will come to the home of our client and take a look at the space in which they want to place the piece of furniture. We will take measurements and take note of the other furniture and décor in the home. In other cases, we will go off of inspiration photos, and our customer’s description of what they are looking for in a furniture piece. Then, we will create a design that the customer can review. Our design will include all of the details that were discussed, including measurements, design elements, the type of wood that will be used, the stain or paint color, and the type of protective finish that will be applied at the end.
Typically, the customer will want to make some changes to the initial design we present them with. We welcome our clients’ feedback and are happy to make any needed changes to the initial design. We will implement the desired changes and present a revised design for approval.
Once the design is approved by the client, we can start building! The agreed-upon design will serve as our guide during the building process, so the finished piece turns out exactly how our clients expect.
Does it Cost Extra to Work with a Furniture Designer from Smith Farms?
Smith Farms will require a design fee upfront, but that fee will then be credited to the overall cost of the project. Any changes to the design after building commences may result in additional charges, but we always make our clients aware of any fees their proposed changes may incur, so they can approve the change, or stick with the original design.
