Smith Farms is excited to announce that one of our custom furniture pieces will be included in an upcoming edition of Mountain Living, a bi-monthly home design magazine dedicated to the architecture and interior design of homes in the Mountain West region of the United States. Mountain Living is a leader in the western home luxury market. Their audience of more than a quarter of a million readers is largely made up of affluent homeowners looking for unique décor, furnishings, and design ideas for their homes. In the magazine, you’ll find features on luxury cabins, stunning vacation homes, as well as high-end custom homes with the natural and rustic flair that is unique to the Mountain West region.
If you’re not familiar with what constitutes “mountain style” in homes, picture a home with a strong connection to nature—one that has a lot of natural elements such as natural wood, stone, and even animal products such as leather, hides, antlers, etc. Another feature of many high-end mountain homes is large windows that highlight the beautiful views found in the area.
The opportunity to be included in Mountain Living came about because the magazine works closely with the Western Design Conference, an exclusive event at which our custom furniture company will be featured later this year. Smith Farms will be one of only a select few furniture builders to be included in a feature on the Wester Design Conference.
In the magazine, we will be showcasing a specially designed side table—a modern piece that would fit nicely in just about any mountain home—even those with more rustic design features. It won’t be seen anywhere until it appears in the upcoming edition of Mountain Living.
We are confident that this unique table will appeal to homeowners who are looking to make a statement with an unexpected piece in their mountain homes. We are also hopeful that its inclusion in Mountain Living will provide us with the opportunity to connect with homeowners looking to commission custom furniture pieces. While our style tends to be a bit more modern than a lot of the furniture seen in the magazine, we believe that is part of what sets us apart from the crowd. Owners of high-end custom homes (and the interior designers who work with them) are often looking for furniture and décor items that will make their home a showpiece, which is difficult to do with the typical, mass-produced pieces you find in furniture stores.
Once our table has been showcased in Mountain Living, we will add it to our Featured Projects section, so be sure to stay tuned! In the meantime, if you are interested in commissioning a custom furniture piece for your home, we’d love to hear from you!
